11th Street Railroad Bridge Bridge Type: Swing Bridge
Years Existed: Unknown - ca. 1971
Background Information: The 11th Street Bridge was a railroad swing bridge that operated using the gauntlet track configuration. This bridge was owned by the Nickel Plate Road (The New York, Chicago, and St. Louis Railroad). The bridge was replaced circa 1971 with a vertical lift bridge by the Norfolk and Western Railway (now Norfolk Southern Railroad). (information from: Joe Juratovac and Howie Speidel)
