Background Information: The Clifton-Westlake Bridge carries U.S. Route 6 across the Rocky River. The length of the bridge is 1,135 feet. This bridge was erected by National Engineering and Contracting Company. The Clifton-Westlake Bridge had a lot of drama associated with it. The city of Rocky River approved the project while the city of Lakewood did not want this bridge because it would go through a park in a wealthy neighborhood.
