Background Information: The Brookside Park Bridge was designed by A.W. Zesiger in 1906. It was America’s first three-hinged concrete arch bridge. It was removed when the creek bed the bridge spanned was enclosed to increase the size of usable park area. Another similar bridge was constructed in 1910 nearby pattered off of the original bridge.
