"Temporary Closed- since it was hit by a freighter in 1957, the Jefferson St. Bridge in the Flats has been all but forgotten by city officials who promised to replace it. Bids taken in 1958 were rejected as too high, but $3,000,000 in bond funds are still set aside for the project. Trucks and autos must detour to W. Third St. or Clark Ave."--photo verso.
