Batch editing (find and replace) of MARC records
1. Create a list of MARC records that need to be edited.
2. Use "Output MARC records to another system using IFTS" (A, M, M)
3. Choose "Create disk file of MARC records" (***filename must be less than 8 characters***)
4. Choose boolean review file
5. Send to local server
6. ftp file from local server to a local drive (c:\)
7. Open MARCBRKR
8. Marc input file: c:\util\computer.out (where you put the file on your local drive)
9. Ascii output file: c:\util\computer.txt
10. Marc mnemonic: c:\progra~1\text21.txt
11. Open file (c:\util\computer.txt) in notepad+ or other text editor software
12. find and replace
13. save
14. Open MARCMKR
15. Text input file: c:\util\computer.txt
16. Marc output file: c:\util\computer.mrc
17. Marc mnemonic file: c:\progra~1\marc21.txt
18. ftp to local server
19. In III, get file (G,
20. preprocess
21. convert
